Wow, what a weekend!

Quinnipiac University welcomed almost 6000 accepted students and their families to our Mt. Carmel, York Hill and North Haven campuses on Saturday and Sunday March 28 and 29.  The recreation center was the first stop for remarks by President John Lahey, Vice President of Admissions and Financial Aid Joan Isaac Mohr, Provost Mark Thompson and Student Government President, Mostafa  Elhaggar.

Families then headed off to attend academic sessions based on their chosen majors and had the opportunity to hear from faculty about the programs and more importantly, have time to ask all of the important questions that will allow them to make a decision on whether Quinnipiac is the place for
them to receive a first class education.

Dr. Justin Kile, who heads our Engineering programs presented a lively information session on the exciting new developments in our Engineering disciplines.

Some of the Special Sessions included a reception attended by staff and students who are part of the Multi Cultural and Global Education office.  Students and their families learned about our Schweitzer Institute that sponsors service learning trips and other educational opportunities as well as faith based student organizations, Study Abroad programs and services for our international students.

I participated in moderating the student life panel. The representatives from student organizations, orientation, public safety and residential life fielded numerous questions from parents and students about what happens outside the classroom to keep our students safe, busy and happy.

We heard from many happy and excited parents and students who have made their decision to attend for the fall.  The admissions office is happy to answer any last minute questions for students and parents via email admissions@quinnipiac.edu or 1-800-462-1944.
